INTRO TO ZINC ETCHING
January 13 - March 2 (8 weeks)
$250 (+ MPA membership)
Zinc plates are etched rapidly in a bath of Copper Sulphate and water producing crisp lines. Zinc can be etched deeply for viscosity printing and blind embossing effects and can yield interesting textural results not possible with copper etching. Come learn these basic techniques of etching on zinc plate. No prior etching experience required.
Peter Graham is our studio tech. He's a painter/printmaker, and must only be fed low sodium, low fat treats.
